Kathy serves as the Advisement Office secretary in support of Valerie Brooks, Undergraduate Academic Advisor and Jerry Monteith, the Head of Graduate Studies. In this dual role, Kathy gets to work and interact with undergraduate and graduate students alike in a variety of ways. She has been with SIUC for approximately 4 years, 3 of those with the School of Art and Design. Though she lived abroad and on the east coast most of her life, she considers herself to be a Southern Illinois native because she graduated from Cobden High School. After many years away, Kathy says she is happy to be home, happy to be a part of the SIUC community and best of all, a part of the energy and creativity of the School of Art and Design. She now lives in Jonesboro with her 3 spoiled dogs (pictured below) and enjoys camping, hiking, swimming and riding her Harley Davidson in her off time.
